I hope I gave enough. I don't want to look cheap! What is the normal that you girls are giving, if you don't mind me asking. I have 3 limos I gave $25 ea dj-$50 ea photo-$50 ea Those were the ones I was concerned with. Are these tips bad?

some people tip alot. I will have no money at the end so they will not get alot from us. We were just talking about this today. People tip the Matire D' 500-1000. I think thats crazy.

my matre'd tip was added in the price of my hall,it was like $600-like i didn't give them enough $$ as it is. I as well have no $$ left, and thats why my envelopes are small

FH and I are not tipping alot.. Our figures are pretty close to yours... The only thing that we are tipping big is the matire d' because we have too... Our RH requires us ro pay $4.00 per person as a matire d' tip.. Its rediculios because we will have at least 215 ppl and thats $860.00! But luckly the men in the BP are picking that up.. Actually, let me rephrase: My brothers (2 out of 11) are picking it up!

Seriously!!! I have to make my final payment 2morrow to the hall. And that is why the tip envelopes are getting smaller and smaller. Oh well, I'll never see these people again!

exactly they are still getting something and they need to be happy with that and you're right you will never see them again

how far are your limos going? I had 3 too and I tipped a considerable amount more- they also went 40 minutes eachh way - but im just curious - IMO i think 25 is low.
I also gv my dj and mc atleast 100 a piece - but i dont remember what my dad gv them - but they were PHENOMINAL
Matire D got 1k+ but without her i would have lost my head - she was the best thing i talked to her like a friend all of the time!

its not so crazy - 99% of the time - that tip is distributed to all the staff - the station, the cooks, etc. I went to 5 halls when booking and they all told me the same thing.
so 500-1000 dollars goes to alot of people.
Def. ask your hall, and dont be afraid to - if the matire D tip/gratuity goes strictly to them or is distributed.
Theres a lot of other people tot hink about

I think that's about right...It varies from vendor to vendor but you seem like you got the right amounts.
