I've been stressing over my wedding hair for months...I went for two trials but my hair NEVER holds a curl for more than an hour. My friend at work suggested I try foam rollers and sleep on them overnight. I bought the biggest size (the pink ones). My hair was dry (and straight)--I put Infusium leave in condition treatment in my hair (a decent amount so that your hair feels pretty wet) and rolled the curlers up. When I pulled them out this morning...AMAZING is all I can say. The curls are bouncy and beatiful (but not those tight shirley temple curls). I added a little hairspray and they've stayed perfect and bouncy for more than 6 hours now! I have my third hair trial tomorrow afternoon, so I plan on washing my hair tonight and re-setting the rollers again and sleeping on them. Tomorrow when I see her my hair will already be curled to perfection and she can just go to town with the styling. I'm SOOOO excited to finally have curls that wont come out before I even get to the church

That is a good idea. I hate having to put styling gels, too much mousse in my hair to keep girls from dropping.

I have frizzy, wavy hair naturally--but it doesnt take to a curl well at all for some reason. I always blowdry it and flat iron it straight.
Try it out--i didnt think it would work b/c my hair is so tempermental, but it did. Its th eonly thing that has worked to get my hair curly and keep it that way.

OMG I never thought to try that! My hair does the same thing, unless its crunchy from gel hairspray and a curling iron (it doesnt look pretty) Thank you!!!!!

You can get them at any drug store--I got mine at CVS. It'll be in the aisle with the hair ties and clips. They're called 'foam rollers' and they come in 3 or 4 different colors. The pink ones are the extra large (the ones I used), but they dont look very big and they dont make huge curls. I would reccomend either getting the extra large or large--the others may be too small.
They are foam in the center and have a plastic part that clips around the foam. they're soooo easy to use and they dont bother your head when you sleep. I would reccommend putting some kind of leave in treatment in your hair when you roll it, but dont wet your hair with water if you have naturallly frizzy hair. Oh--and the best part is--they're SUPER cheap for a pack of 8 rollers. If you have long or thick hair get 2 or 3 packages of them. They only cost like $2.50 per package!!!

Just wanted to let you girls know-- I used the ConAir brand and they worked well. I just ran out to buy another package and they were out, so I got the other brand (scunci). It'll probably work the same, but they seem stiffer than the conair ones.
Your local beauty supply store may have them, but mine didnt. Walgreens and CVS definately do though. They're foam, not velcrow or self-holding.

thanks, thats a great idea. i have always had trouble doing my hair because the curls would drop within an hour
