a Check with a no response card.... Is this normal. I appreciate the money but all our other no's (only 2) were empty

We got a couple like that and a couple sent a check in a card separate from the response cards.

If have heard of it being done either way - enclosing a check with the response card or sending a gift later on.

I got a few like that. My wedding is next weekend and we've been getting cards and checks recently from people who responded no a while ago.

My friend got that, and when I asked her why no card, she thought you couldn't get wedding cards until your wedding, it is bad luck or something.
Not sure if this is true.
