I just got a joint checking account!!!!

You technically could of just deposited into either of your accounts as long as both of you signed them. This makes it more official!!

YAY!!!! It does feel 'real' when you get a joint account.

FH and I got one for the 'wedding fund' and at that ppoint it just felt like WOW!!!

At my bank - Bank of America - they said that if te check is written out to two people, it must be deposited into a joint account. I already tried that

Well, Keith is a lot like Matt I think so good luck he was so against it! Honestly, it took getting gifts made out to both of us to get him to understand that it needed to be done.

me & FH also did the whole joint checking account a little while back, because we didn't wanna get things screwed up after the wedding. My friend had told me that it took them a couple weeks before they could even touch their wedding money after depositing it. I didn't want us to have to deal with that. I guess we'll have to fix a few things on there when my last name changes tho

For some reason, this makes the impending nuptials VERY REAL! FH was putting it off for so long, but we got some checks recently written out to both of us, so we had to get one in order to deposit them. Why do I think this is just the coolest thing?????

It is cool. Doesn't it make you feel like a true grown up? We have had one forever but now that he will be closing all of his accounts and my name will be going on the business account it seems more grown up and REAL!
