I just got back from CLM

Hey....I am so happy that I decided to go to Chateau la mer tonight for a food tasting. I brought four other family members with me along with FH!! Nick was there and a pleasure as always. I actually talked to him about TWOTY!! He is very excited about it. Its so far our Number one choice, I still have to check out two other places. The food was great. THey gave us all to try, veal chop, stuffed filet of sole, salmon, filet mignon, chicken cordon blue and stuffed shrimp along with potato and vegetables to try. Everything was good. We especially liked the stuffed shrimp, filet mignon and the potato! I tried the ceasar salad which was awesome. I was pleased with the way everything was set up with beautiful new chairs and oval tables..each witha view of the water. The upstairs is just as nice...it would be hard to make a decision which one is better. They have fire places also and I never knew that! Itsa nice touch. Oh and we also got to try the chocolate fountain...omg Amazing...I dont know if we will be able to add it with our budget...we will see. Im willing to have our wedding on a Thursday night just so we can have it there. This place is definatly worth a visit!!!

The chocolate fountain prices aren't that much...If you get the full viennese then it adds up bc it is $15 pp extra.

oh ok i haven't been to either of those places, thought i would be able to compare CLM to them.

Omg...I was there tonight too! The food was really good. CLM was one of my top choices, but I have since fell in love with another RH! Good luck booking it! I know that when I met with Lou, he quoted me $750 for the chocolate fountain. It comes with 3 fountains and all of the goodies. I think with that and the pastries they put on the table along with the wedding cake, you have plenty of dessert and time for dancing!

riviera is nice, but old fashiony looked very dark woods. and we got lost going there so no way.

That place was so gorgeous I knew you'd like it!!! What other places are you going to look at?

yeah i know...its not that bad but still not great either...Ive done it in 35 mins but if you hit traffic you're screwed...For us we dont mind all that much bc alot of his close friends live right by CLM so we just meet up with them after, but it can be a pain.

YEA CONGRATS!!!! We LOVE LOVE CLM. I have gone there for over 20 years when it first was open to the public as a restaurant. I wanted to see the Rivera but was blown off by one of the people there. IT was probably my fault because I was email harrasing her about trying to get the min's down. Its rustic but I love that.. FH hates that so we both liked CLM so that was what we booked.


Food tasting is sooo good wished i can go back and do it again. WOTY is going to be great becaues I get to see it really setup for a wedding. Never had that opportunity and had to rely on pictures on here.
