I just got Laid Off

I just got Laid Off

So any of you who have read my posts about hating my job most recently todays post know I hate it but I never thought I would get laid off!

They are not doing well with the budget and they had to let someone go and that someone was me. Yeah I hated it but I need money also.

They are giving me an ok severence package so I should be ok for a little while.

Luckily I have an interview Monday so I hope that works ok.

Today just was bad

no not at all. They said it was because we are doing bad. Our quota for 2008 is 1.2 million dollars well they only have 300,00 on the books and last year this time they had about 1 million. They are doing bad we only had 2 events this month and 2 next month and nothing in march or april.

I'm sorry to hear that but maybe it's for a reason... you do have that interview! Just imagine if you get it AND you get your severance package - it's like a bonus for leaving!

You know what? I truly believe that everything happens for a reason.

You hated the job and you have an interview on Monday....I think that means a new job is just around the corner and this lay off just means it's opening up the space in your life for a new job. Now you won't have to worry about giving notice anywhere..you can just start as soon as possible.

Good luck on your interview. I know how you feel remember I posted about quiting my job.

I understand, we do need $ especially while planning for the wedding. My prayers will be for the both of us to get that dream job

Sooo sorry to hear that but I think you landed that interview on Monday for a reason. You hated your job so maybe it was someones way of telling now is the best time to move on - best of luck to you!!
