I just had to post and tell you all how excited I was that I picked up my engagement ring last night! My FH and I have been engaged since Jan, 2001, but I didn`t have an engagement ring because we took the money and spent the last 10 months overseas instead. It was totally worth the wait because now I have a beautiful ring AND memories of our trip that will last a lifetime. Thanks for letting me gush! = )

Be careful driving - I almost got into car accidents as I constantly stared at it while driving...I kept thinking, ooo I've never seen it sparkle like THAT before...:)
THat is great. Where did you go for 10-months? Perhaps there are some honeymoon ideas among your trips.

Thanks for all the responses. My FH and I were in the South Pacific and Southeast Asia for the 10 months. I would definitely recommend the Cook Islands, New Zealand and Thailand to anyone who is looking to travel. We met an English couple on the trip that are getting married in Thailand, on the same island that The Beach (with Leo Dicaprio) was filmed! Can`t beat that! = )
