I just got nails for the first time!

I just got nails for the first time!

Okay I had to get the fake nails yesterday for a job I want to get. The thing is I'm having a hard time with them! I've never had theses things before, I'm a bit of a tomboy! Any way I had the french manicer(spl) air brushed on, I was wondering when I got bored with that, because I have to keep them on for a while, can I take the nail polish off and repaint them again or do I have to go back to the salan and have them put new nails on? I really don't have a clue.

Depends on when you get bored with them.

Usually you have to get them filled in every 2 weeks, so that's when they change the polish. But plenty of times if I wasn't happy with the color, I just took the polish off and painted them over myself. (Airbrush will come off with nail polish remover).

BTW, Getting a fill in is just filling in the part of the top of the nail where it grows in.

Nope, but When I try to re-paint them myself, they come out bad. You can have them re-polish them if you like! How are you doing with typing and opening car doors?

if you do that it depends on how much nail remover you use...u can atke off some of the nail.

I just go to them for a polish change it is like $5

You have to use NONacetone nail polish remover. BUT, I wouldnt suggest trying to paint them on your own when they start to grow out...they will look like crap. Let the salon do it. And if you are bad at painting them, they will usually do a polish change for like 3-5 bucks

What job are you trying to get that you need fake nails? Just curious.

I'm curious too since hell, I'm on interviews, my nails are all broken down to the end because of the fake nails coming off, and all I did was file and go.

I should be judged on my ability to perform a job, not how good my nails look!!
