I just had a going-away, wedding 'party' at work today!

I just had a going-away, wedding 'party' at work today!

I was SO SURPRISED!

Ya see, I've only been at this firm for less than one year and I honestly dont know too many folks here closely. I only have a couple of girls I'd actually consider friendly... but these same lovely girls in my department went out of their way (in lieu of a full blown shower) to do something so special for me .. I am just so touched !

They chipped in and gave us a gift card to Fortunoffs , some cash and bought us the most beautiful champagne flutes from Tiffanys !

Best of all they got me the most delicious white and dark chocolate mousse CAKE that was amazing (I think I gained back all my weight in one shot)

Wow. I am just speechless and so happy I could cry. I know it isn't a big deal , but I just didn't expect it so I'm a little emotional

HOLY CR*& I am really getting married on Sunday, ain't I

thanx, girls! I just had to share my news with my LIWs friends.. I've been so calm and keeping myself sane lately, but this just really touched me and set me off

Congrats!!!

I'm a bridesmaid for a friend of mine. She hates surprises. She knew the weekend that she was getting engaged on. She's having a shower in August. Hate to think what will happen when everyone yells surprise.
