I e-mailed a Hair and Makeup artist, and told them I needed services just for my hair and if they could quote me a price I would appreciate it.

They came back with a price of

Hair and Makeup = $500

I can't stop laughing lol

This is from the email:

Hi Sara. We are available for your wedding day. Our rate are as
follows:

Bridal hair and makeup $500
Hair only or makeup only $300

Yeah. I payed about $100-ish for each (so, somewhere between $200-$300 total), and I thought that was pretty ridiculous.

The prices she has on the website are :$150 for hair and $150 for makeup, I don't know where she pulled $500 out from?

I agree. While it's very pricey it's definitely not that outrageous - especially in NYC. I was quoted a few hundred more than that by a bunch of m/u artists.

I'm not saying I would ever pay that much, but many girls do!

ive seen some amazing work from expensive MU artists but i feel like when the prices get up THAT high..its ridiculous.

I said more reasonable not reasonable. With the prices I have received ( $150-200 just for application) to have someone travel all around with you for 8+ hours and doing touch ups is more reasonable than $500 for only the application.
