I just hung up on Spin Around Sound

Last week, I called Spin Around Sound to set up an appointment. He had nothing available in Nassau for another week so I said I would check with my fiance and call back. So I called today to finalize the appointment, and spoke to the owner (I think his name is Tim something). He was very rude and sounded like he was annoyed by me. I will not bore you with the specifics of the conversation, but suffice it to say that he was not very nice. I asked him if I was calling at a bad time because he was being so unbelieveably rude and nasty, and he just said that he was surprised I had bothered calling back because none of the appointments he offered me last week were 'convenient for me'. I told him that he doesn`t sound like he wants my business and I hung up. He is by far the rudest vendor I have had the displeasure of speaking with. I know there are plenty of postings about them on this board from people who had good experiences, unfortunately my experience was upsetting. With all the stress of planning, the last thing I need is vendor getting me all upset. So, anyone have any DJ recommendations for me?

I booked him for my October wedding, and he was nothing but pleasant during my several phone calls, and 2 meetings. In any case, my friend recently used someone from Tommy`s Tunes, and they were great. They followed her directions on what she wanted, played music from her list, etc. Plus, they`re a little cheaper than SAS.

at our wedding on 9/2/01 at the Port Jeff Country club and Al & John were so helpful. We were planning from long distance and they made our decision so easy. In fact, they traveled from eastern LI to my parent's house in Howard Beach for the first meeting and were always available for us. I haven't seen much about other brides working with them here on LI weddings, but we loved them. Their # is 631.661.6994.

I can't believe SAS. We are using them and they were by far the most professional vendor we dealt with. That's what impressed us most. they followed up with us with lots of emails with lots of info. Anyway, we also liked Invitation to Dance.

I booked them for my May 2003 wedding and let me tell you, I met with the owner, Tommy. I originally called when I first got engaged, just for more information and he was great and said 'call when you're ready', so I did that and met with him. I was a half hour early for my appointment and I had two of my friends with me. He didn't make us wait around, he took us right away. We were there for about an hour and a half and I didn't feel rushed or pressured. The number is 631-732-5886. I would definitely add him to your list to call.

I had a similar experience with Tom

My FI and I went to meet him and he was not interested in anything we had to say. Everytme we would say something he would cut us off and start talking about himself again. He was also rude to us and we felt he was annoyed with us. We are using New Yorks Ultimate Entertainment. Rich was very nice. THey are in Plainview.

My weddin is on Saturday and we booked them months ago. They have been great with every question and request that we have had. I will let you all know how they are!

Rick is excellent!!! My friend used him and that's how I found him! I think he's had about 12-15 weddings book him between the two of us! Just be straight forward and tell him exactly what you want him to do! If you don't want something he won't do it! but be sure to tell him what you do want done and also write the same instructions on the paperwork you need to give the catering hall!Don't worry!!! He's an excellent DJ!!!
