with an officiant and for some reason I feel nervous. Me and FH don't go to church so I don't know what to expect.

Don't be nervous! He will not make you do anything except talk about yourselves and your love for each other and your wedding day. It will actually be one of the best appts you both will go to together. When I went with FH, I started to cry hearing him say how much he loves me and his plans for our future together. Actually it made the whole wedding so real for me. You are going to LOVE it!

I felt the same way when we were meeting with our priest. Future husband and I have never gone to church together The person was really nice though. Also... they asked for the exact dates we were baptized, had first holy communion and were confirmed. Does anyone know off the top of their heads these dates??? I had no clue.

I can totally relate. FH and I are catholic, but I never made my communion or confirmation. I thought the officiant would look at me and see 'Sinner' written across my forehead. I didn't speak much while we were there, but he totally made me feel at ease. After we left, I felt a bit silly for worrying so much. Now I'm kind of looking forward to meeting with him again before the wedding.

I was SO nervous when I met with my officiant. He was so nice though and laid back that he made us feel at ease.

i was so nervous too! but the one we met with put me very much at ease and actually enjoyed talking withhim. good luck...it will go great! keep me posted.
