i just made the BEST soda bread!!!**with recipe and pic**
omg, its so delish!!!!
4 cups self-rising flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 baking soda
3 tbsp sugar
2 heaping tbsp Crisco
Mix all of the above together. When mixed add 1 cup of raisins and 1 tbsp caraway seeds
Then put 2 eggs in a measuring cup, and fill with milk until it reaches 2 cups. Put this in the mixing bowl with dry mixture. Mix with your hands (it's messy!)
Use some Crisco to lube up the pan (i used a loaf pan, you could use any pan) and put the mix into the pan. Make a cross on the top (wards off evil spirits)
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. After that, lower the oven to 325 degrees and bake until cooked throughout (approx another 20 min)
