I just put my guest list into Wedding Channel...

And they add it up and Im inviting 175!!! I only want MAX 115 people. OMG I nearly fell on the floor!!!

We thought we were going to have a problem with our guarantee of 150 people and it ends up we invited 261!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I am PRAYING for is that most are from upstate and dont want to drive through the city... but I fear that that wont happen

I used them a lot and their interactive tools in an electronic wedding planner is very helpful and useful. However, at times I often find the calucations with the tallying of the guest list is way off at times and not always accurate. My guest list was 300 people were invited and only 150 adults and 8 children actually attended. We had a lot because children were included in the tallying in Wedding Channel and the same with The Knot.com. Both of these online interactive wedding planners counts children, adults, etc. as bodies to the tallying of the guest list. For example, a family of 4 which consists of 2 parents and 2 children that is considered 4 into the tallying and some instances, we had parents who attended but not the children but the non-attending children were included in the count. However, it sure bets handwriting everything.

It's not always accurate.

I was thinking the same thing when I entered it. I guess I was just looking for overall 'bodies' not adults. Ok so then my list is more like 150 adults, 15 5-11 year olds and the rest little babies.

Don't forget... they say to expect about 20 percent NO's. So its ok to invite more than you really want there. (it would **** if everyone DID show up though, but how often does that happen??)
