I never got my parents or his a 'thank you' gift or anything. Come to think of it, I never even sent either a thank you card.......they both gave us an enormous amount of money (in reality, what they gave us was double what the party cost) so technically we paid, but they did also, u know what I mean??
Am i supposed to get anything as a thank you? do I send a thank you card? or do I just get a really nice xmas gift????

We sent our parents cards. I intended to take my parents out to dinner, since they hosted, but it just never happened

We got my parents tickets to a Broadway Show and sent a thank you gift for their present too!!

we are giving FIL's a really nice TY card and getting them an extra special gift for X-mas, a professional album of our e-pix & e-party pixs.

I sent them thank you cards. We also went overboard on bday gifts for them this year, and we're getting them really nice thank you gifts for the wedding.

I gave both sets of parents a picture frame that matches their respective livingrooms with a picture from the party and a thank you card.

i made my MIL a kodak picture book with pics from the eparty and a personalized message inside. she loooooved it. and i didn't get it to her until about a month and a half after after the party. I felt awful, but she was so appreciative of the book.
Don't worry about it, they're your parents and FIL's. they love you no matter what. they will love whatever you give them whenever you give it to them!

Definitely send a very personal thank you card, if you want to a bottle of their favorite drink or tickets to a show. But mainly...don't go for broke... remember they did this to help you.

Take them out to dinner..both sets together with you and FH.
