That was addressed 'Dear Sir' - is it inappropriate to respond saying I'm not a sir and who addresses anyone like that anymore?

Maybe in bold write 'To Whom in May Concern'
I've gotten the dear sir before and if it's an annoying client, I'll be like, 'Please keep in mind, I am not a sir, my name is Rebecca.' If it's someone annoying/person who doesn't matter, you could give them a mini lecture and say something like, 'Just a tip: since there are more women in the workplace than there were in the 1950s, I'd advise you to refrain from starting emails and letters with 'Dear Sir. Have a nice day.'
