I just HATE having to go back to work when he's only 6 weeks old. It's horrible. I feel like a horrible parent. But I did enroll him in a daycare that's literally in walking distance if I really wanted to from my job. So, I'll be visiting him and breastfeeding him at lunchtime everyday. Hopefully that helps with not being with him during the day. Only 1.5 weeks to go.

BF'd him everyday is wonderful. He will really look forward to seeing you everyday.
The kids at my Day Care love when their Mommies come to visit.

Melissa, I am so sorry that you have to go back to work already! Caiden is going to do great at day care and it is wonderful that you will be able to see him for lunch. I am sure it will be a hard change for you but you have to do what is right for your family. Caiden is lucky to have you -

Just think of how excited you'll be walking ( OR RUNNING ) over to the daycare everyday! IT will make your mornings brighter and the rest of your day happier!
And he will be a little social bug amongst all his new friends!

There is a great book Nursing Mother/Working Mother It might be a good idea to read it. It helped me with my daycare issues.
Try to remember why you are going to work. I have heard that helps a lot. Keep telling yourself that your job will help provide your child with all that he needs.

I know how much this hurts. I'm not going back for a few weeks & I feel terrible, too!! But at least you're going to see him every day @ lunch ... that's a real upside to your situation!
