I just spoke to my first florist on Sat.

I loved their work and they gave us some excellent ideas but am I crazy? I asked to have a copy of the worksheet and was told they dont give it out. Nor, do they give you anything in writing until you leave a depost. Is this normal? Also, they charged me for 2 of the 3 boutiners I need. ($5 each) I thought that was wrong also, am I right? I have an appt to talk to Flowers by Burton next week and I want to speak to one more after that. Is this what I should expect from all of them? Thanks.

That's what Pedestal's did when I went-I thought it was a little to shady so I decided to go with a different florist. My florist gave us the estimate before we left a deposit so we could think about it and/or make changes. They also let us approve the centerpiece before we signed the contract. See what Burton's have to say-I have heard good things about them!

I've visited three florists so far - two gave me the written, itemized estimate and one did not. Two charged for boutinierres and one did not. They all charged for things differently but the prices ended up to be within a couple hundred dollars of each other. You just need to see whose work you like best and who you feel comfortable with. I am going to see a couple more florists before I make a decision.

My florist gave me everything we spoke of in writing including the price, this was before I ever left a deposit or told him I was definitely interested.
