a new pill, yasmin and i feel like i have gained 20 pounds. i swear, my face has broken out like i am 15 again. has this happened to anyone else?

its called yasmin.
it is 'supposed' to be a good pill to take, but so far i am having a bad reaction. i feel like i am going thru puberty again. my gyno said i should wait 2 more months to see if my body acclamates better.

unfortunately , my health insurance is no longer covering desogen, which is what i was taking.

That happened to me on Orthocyclen Now I'm on Loestrin FE 1/20 (actually the generic, b/c my insurance no longer pays for the name brand ) and I've been fine so far. I lost the weight that I had gained on Ortho and my AFs are normal now. My first pill was Desogen. You're probably having a reaction b/c I think Desogen has a higher dosage of hormones than Yasmin.
Lisa: Unfortunately most doctors tell you to stick w/a pill for 3 mos b/c that's how long it takes your body to adjust to the different pill.
