Re: I just want to say
I just got home from work & I tivod it and now I am watching it! Today in school I tired to get it up on the internet so my class could see it but all the websites went down due to the overload... So I put the radio on and had the kids listen to him get sworn in and his speech. I kept telling them that today made History!!!

i was so glad that the school i was in today allowed us to watch!!! i had to hold the tears back to stop myself from balling in front of the kiddies!!!
John!!! You dont know???!!! I was sworn in as the captain of my job softball team... I knew the websites would be overloaded so I told them to play it on all channels.... I hope they did!
our principal played the inauguration over the loudspeaker because the websites wouldn't load, i kept telling my kids that they had to listen because it was an important day

Re: I just want to say
In all seriousness its a great day for America, and I get the history behind it. But I worry that too many people are looking for him to be a saviour for the country and I doubt it will turn out that way. I mean as far as the significance of him being the first African American in office is a great thing... But what makes everyone think that he is different from most other politicians??? Bush was disgusting... everyone know that, so him being out should be celebrated... I'm just saying I'll wait to praise him as our saviour for another four years... In that time I hope that I'll be able to look back and say he was worth all the hub bub... But until then I'll reserve my opinion that the most important thing about this election was that the people voted in an African American which shows this country is growing the way it should be to have everyone equal, and not that Barack Obama is president... Because who says he's any different than our past elected officials... Lets hope he is.. Or this country is in trouble...

Re: I just want to say
ITA except I dont agree that 1/2 of the promises are possible.
Plus Im sorry we should all at least thank Bush for keeping us safe for 7 years.
History is still being written. I just hope for all that voted for him he comes through on what he promised.
