FH and I had a rough patch two months when he moved into an apartment. I don't really feel like getting into it, but basically-I don't like the apartment, and he got it anyway. I was really hurt and told him we shouldn't get married if he was not going to be part of a relationship.
So, we had a huge fight-also don't want to get into-it's wayyyy too long, but FSIL got involved.
Now don't get me wrong, I love FSIL-but she is the most self involved person I know. Asks everyone to do for her, and won't do anything for anyone else.
I had asked her to be in the BP originally, and I was kind of just waiting for the excuse to come along. We went dress shopping 1 1/2 months ago, and she was a pain in the a$$!! Everyone liked one dress-but then she didn't. She is the skinniest girl in the BP and everything looks great on her, but really she disagrees to create drama.
So she calls me today and says she doesn't feel comfortable be in the BP because of the fight FH and I got in two months ago. I told her whatever she wanted is fine with me-I just learned through all this that I really can't stand her at all and it is putting stress on FH and I. I am tired of fighting. I feel that when I over extend myself, I just like to know that it is appreciated.
Anyone else having trouble with their FILs?

I dont really have problems with anyone in his family cause theyre all not very close, so I never really have to deal with them.
Just try to remember what youre in the relationship for....because you and FH love each other. And that has nothing to do with the FSIL! I know thats easier said then done...but you guys will be ok.

aww sorry for all your stress. i get along well my my fsil's but i know the feeling your going thriugh. i had no drama with my bms until recenty. my fh and i got into a fight and since then worked everything iut and thngs are going wonderful. i had one friend stop talking to me because of it. i didnt know why she stopped calling me until i got her on the phone and she yelled at me like i was a kid. saying all this stuff to me. i was taken back abit. she didn't say to me she wasn;t in my bp but i got that impression and i haven't heard from her since and its going on another 2 weeks. i am at the point that fine don't need anyone there who don't want to be there. no-one gonna ruin my happiness and my enjoyment on planning my wedding or my big day.

im so sorry...there are always people out there in this world who gain happiness and feel better about themselves when they spoil something for someone else. I wouldnt want someone like that in my bridal party so maybe its a good thing she dropped out.

I just remember doing soooo much for her wedding-I put together their invites, tied bows on bells, put her favors together, ran around like a nut looking for a BM dress-when no one else in the BP showed up.-There was no pleasing her, and I realized their never will be. It just hurts more than anything.

shes' totally jealous of you.
Good move in NOT fighting to maintain her in the BP. Let her go. She's causing nothing but ogida anyway.
As for her being self involved....forget about it. Its your wedding, and nobody cares about anyone else on your wedding day other than the bride and groom.

I have had problems with my SIL since the first day I walked into my DHs life......I cant stand her we dont get along and DH doesnt get along with her either....but she is a horrible person and made my wedding planning alittle bit hard because we where told she had to be in our wedding......so if she doesnt think she wants to be in yours...its probably the best thing!!
Sorry that you have to deal with this though.

Yes, Yes, Yes Mine are making me crazy. I don't even have to do anything and they look to start drama. I know the feeling and really get fed at times. Sorry you have to deal with this stuff.
