They gave me store credit!!!
I thought they did cashback for items on your registry!
Now I have $370 in store credit for BBB!!
I returned a stand mixer- got 2, a Mojito set- cute but no room for it, and a pitcher- got the same one only bigger with my margarita set.
I guess its still good- I only got 2 of my towels and only the 8 place settings in my china...so I'd like to buy some of the serving pieces....
And, if all else fails- I can ALWAYS find something there...
but I just had to empty my checking account and most of our savings account to pay off the florist later....now I'm BROKE!!!

I would go back and talk to the manager because they told me that they always give cash back for bridal registry items.

I would definetly go back and complain. The BBB return policy is the main reason that we moved alot of stuff from Macys to BBB/

From my experience - the only time they gave me store credit when the item came off of my registry - but I got cash when it didn't come off of the registry (they just thought I would like what they picked out better)... but BBB is always willing to make the customer happy - so just give it a shot... see what happens.

No, they were really busy in there and kind of rushed me through....I thought maybe they changed their policies...
Its probably too late now...But I will go back and ask.

Yeah...I would go back. When I returned some stuff they tried to push the store credit with me too but I insisted on the cash back. Maybe the person who did the return was unaware of the cash back policy? Good luck!

Yup. They just did the return and said 'Here's your store credit, it doesn't expire.'
I just called and told him I returned stuff and wanted to know what the policy is and he said 'store credit'
I said, 'you don't give cash back'
and he said 'Nope, store credit.'
I guess I'm stuck with it.
They should send out announcements if they change policies.

Yeah, we already live together- but we need some new stuff...I wish BBB sold couches or mattresses! We need that stuff desperately!
LOL- FH is actually happy....he says we shouldn't be using gifts to pay for the wedding...we should be using them for stuff we actually need.
Oh well, tomorrow is payday, then I won't be broke anymore...(til next weel lol)

When I returned items after my shower (duplicates mainly), I was given a large store credit like you were.
I went back last month to return a few things we didn't need and one piece of crystal that was broken and they asked if I wanted cash or a store credit.
I think it depends on who you get to help you when you go. I went to the same store both times.
Although I really would have rather gotten the cash during the first round of returns, I was able to pretty much clear off the remainder of my registry.

I just called the 800 # from their website and spoke to a bridal consultant, and she said hands down, no doubt, that you can get a cash refund as long as the items returned were on your registry.
When I told her what happened she said you are entitled to cash!!

sell the credit on ebay! Or Craigslist..You might not get EXACTLY the same amount, but something is better than nothing!
