i kinda found out about my shower

Yeah, so i was not going to say anything to anyone, but i may just explode if i keep this inside. I am so upset... i wanted it so badly to be a surprise!!!!!

We had family here from Italy and i over heard them talking with my mom and they said a specific date, and then my mom quickly changed the subject.... she does not think that i heard anything. At first i thought maybe i am just over reacting, but the more and more i try to push it out of my head, the more and more i realize that is the only logical time they can give me the shower

I am so upset... the one thing i stressed to my mom is that i want to be surprised.....and she is trying so hard and doing a great job of keeping all information away from me. NO ONE in my family is talking about anything to do with the shower... it is those damn stupid overseas Italians that spoiled it for me!!!!!!

SO now i am going to have to act surprised b/c i know everyone is trying so hard to make it perfect for me and to make sure that i am surprised since that was my only request....

I am so sorry to hear this sweetie. I found out when my shower is thanks to my florist. I was so mad because of all the effort my girls were putting in to make it a surprise. But then i picked out a dress i wanted to wear, had my hair done, etc and it turned out to be one of the best days of my life. It still stinks you found out but now you have something to look forward to

I know where your coming from... you want a surprise but things happen. It stinks especially for the people who are trying sooo hard.

I would just get stoked that you can look amazing the day off and still be stunned by all the love and gifts there!

I kind of knew about mine and I still had a blast- I am sorry it wont be a surprise for you- but when you get there and see your family & friends- you will totally forget that you knew!

Oh I'm sorry this happened to me too, but the good news is you still dont know the place, favors, gifts, who's coming? There's still a ton to be surprised about.

I knew about mine because of a bridezilla BM of mine who didn't even end up going.

I ended up getting a fab dress and my hair done and did a 'oh my gosh' i'm so surprised look and everyone laughed...

i really want to be surprised too - so i get where you are coming from - but at this point there isnt much you can do....im sorry! you will still enjoy it though so dont be too upset, its still a party in your honor!

I had a few people mess up my surprise, it got to be funny bc DH family cannot keep a secret. haha. Oh well they tried & are cute.

Hey at least everything they will be doing for you. the decorations, the gifts, who comes, etc will be a surprise.

I knew about my shower but seeing everyone there & people that I didn't expect to come come, made my day & I was surprised!

I agree with some of the girls. You don't know any details just possibly the date so you have tons of surprises.

If it makes you feel any better, I know all about my shower (this coming Sunday) and I even made the invitations and mailed them! I know who's coming and who's not (very disappointed). I even gave my sister (MOH) ideas on favors so I know, for the most part, what they'll be.
I don't have a bridal party, just a MOH so I helped her out so I'm not too happy that I know where it is, when it is, who's coming, what we're eating (I chose the menu) and when it is. Only surprise for me will be how she decorates.

It is really hard to keep showers a secret. I don't know many people who were truly surprised. I have no clue when mine is and I don't want to know but I wouldn't be surprised if I found out accidentally. Practice your surprised face

i DON'T THINK MOST PPL ARE REALLY SURPRISED AT THEIR SHOWER. i KNOW AL ABOUT MY SHOWER AND HELPED WITH EVERYTHING, GOT FAVORS, AND AM GETTING SERVERS AND BARTENDER(S). I DON'T THINK IT TAKES AWAY FROM THE PARTY AT ALL. IT WAS FUNNY THOUGH B/C MY FRIEND CALLED AND SHE'S NEVER BEEN TO A WEDDING AND DIDN'T KNOW HOW THE WHOLE REGISTRY PROCESS WORKED. I SPEND 20 MINS EXPLAINING IT TO HER.

DEF DON'T GET HARD FEELINGS ABOUT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS WEDDING STUFF. I KNOW IT'S REALLY HARD NOT TO BUT IT'S AN EMOTIONAL TIME AND YOU GOTTA JUST LET IT SLIDE.

people really have no clue hahaha and it was so hard to fake it but i did because i know how hard my MOH and family and FH went to keep it a secret
