black is not all that bad... plus there are tuns of ways to dress it up..... what destination is it?? perhaps a simple lightweight black dress would be a great background for those wonderful exotic flowers to show up.... I dunno just a thought as I am here at work heheeh
I think it depends on the type of dress but black can totally work. You can always add hints of color in the accessories.
I wear black to weddings, I also wear red... Im not one to talk... LOL But I think black is perfectly fine to wear! It goes with all kinds of jewelry, hair styles etc...

i wouldnt do black for your mom.....
depending of where you go.....play off of that!! let her get a light color???
im mean let her get what she feels comfortable in, but i would say do a color, not black!!!![]()
