i know i asked before but...ANY FINANCIAL ADVISORS?

a well known company is being very aggressive in getting me on board 'pre-contract' with them. I have to shell out $580 to take the series 7 exam but they reimburse when i pass. I am very weary of this because its such a cut throat business and I know LESS THAN NOTHING about anything finance related.

anyone have any info that might help?

i would stay away. if it's a well known company, they really should be shelling it out themselves. i have my series 7, among other licenses, and i never paid a penny for them, my employers always did. if it's for a job that requires you to have your 7, and being an FA does require that, they should pay it up front. the only time i've know of people paying for their own exams is if it's not required for their job, but they still want to take the exam.

Thank you! I felt it was a bit fishy too. because series 7 is only $290...but they want me to pay for fingerprints, series 7, certification fees, series 666 all up front which comes to $580. I couldn't understand why they waited until handing me paperwork to tell me when i bring in my fingerprint cards i have to bring in a check for $580
