I know I asked something similiar to this once before but I am taking a poll, please give me some advice....

My e-party is Nov 30 at Russo's on the Bay. I will have you know that is the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. I called the hal and they said they will already be decorated for Christmas, trees, etc. So far I have gad 2 ideas for centerpieces but I now am not sure I like either and I really need to move my butt on getting this done. Note the party is from 1-5 in the afternoon and Russo's has a big bay window with sunshine coming in and white tablecloths.

Idea 1: The big blue tiffany boxes (9x9x9) on the table with maybe rhinestones around the tables,these big fake engagement rings (plastic), maybe some votive candles and a cake made of Tiffany boxes. Note my e-ring is NOT from Tiffany's

Idea 2: I originally was going for diamonds and ice, but I am having a difficult time finding fake palstic diamonds. I bought these extra huge martini glasses that I was going to fill with fake ice cubes and these branches with blue and white fake ice on them. Then we have smaller martini glasses that I was going to fill with these diamond shaped clear candles I found at party city. Maybe do like a snowflake cake and put gardenias on each dish. Something wintery.

Do these sound nuts. Does anyone have any better ideas?

This was my mom's CRAZY idea! I really did not want one, but she is very persistent. I really would have preferred a tent in the back yard in the summer with passed hor deorves, and some light fare but not my mom. The party is in the afternoon though and the room is not as elaborate as the bigger rooms upstairs. The cocktail hour is also downsized a little and wil be in the same room so it won't be like a wedding.

EXACTLY what I was thinking! Damn girl! Why bother with plastic diamonds, sounds like you can just get the real thing!! LOL!

Believe me my mom is not spending as much as you think. She only booked the party a little over a month in advance so she got a really great deal. Espevially that is Thanksgiving weekend and most people don't want to get married that weekend I guess.

would just do something very simple.. the whole tiffany box thing is weird to me- reminds me of a sweet 16 (no offense).. why not just do something simple with the oversized martini glasses....

I'm sticking with my answer from the original thread - winter theme...especially since Tiffany's isn't significant to you, your FH or your engagement. JMO though.

I think you should go with the winter idea. Those martini glasses sound like a gr8t idea. The tiffany's idea sounds tacky.

I dont think anyone should ever tell someone there idea is tacky that is a little harsh. I personally like it I dont think it is being explained to it fullest potential.

i like the wintery idea too, especially b/c after thankgiving everyone's gonna be really excited for christmas and snow etc (well maybe not everyone, but you know what i mean). good luck, sounds like it will be a nice party.

Yeah thats true, cause all the stores already have Christmas stuff out already, I have seen more stuff for Christmas, and haven't seen one thing for Thanksgiving!!

Sorry the pics are so big...we also did the tables with mirrors and artificial snow and snowflake ornaments like you see om the doll table. I love your idea of a winter ice theme!

sweetness... Just wanted to let you know that I had me E-party there yesterday. We had a brunch and it was INCREDIBLE. It was in the Florentine room. I went with candle centerpieces that I made. I decorated them with pretty harvesty colors. I will try to post them so you can get an idea.
