But, lately I've found myself torn between the Swedish coffee shop where the very nice people work and the place that does my bagel slightly better (when they don't put SAUSAGE on it!!!) but employs workers with less common sense than a flea!

The coffee is also slightly better at the place with the stupid people...So, I can either have decent food or a better time buying not so nice fare???

Anyone else have this problem?

How do the London bagels compare to NY? Bagel Boss bagels are my favorite, but the guy who works there always calls me 'young lady.' Who says that!? I don't know why it bothers me. I mean, I am almost 27, so at what point am I not young anymore? 30? 40? Will it be said in sarcasm when I am 50?

Be glad he doesn't call you ma'am...I'm getting that lately

As far as breakfast, how about another place entirely? I would also like to know how the bagels compare..

Yes, yes I do. I can either get my coffee from the 7-11 with all the slow/rude customers but the cute clerk who gives me free cigarette lighters. or I can go to the 7-11 with the efficient cutomers and non-descript clerks.

I go for the cute clerk and free lighters.

Oh, the bagels are pretty crap either way by NY standards...but, hey, I have to eat!! And at least I get to control whether or not they have copious amounts of mayonnaise on them

Depending on the age of the person saying it, I'd much rather be called ma'am than young lady!

Also, I stick with the cute clerk because one time he made a lame and adorable joke about me being 'Ultra Girl' since I smoke Ultra Lights.

Isn't there a place way on the outskirts of London that has good bagels? I remember, when I lived there, I heard aoout this place and I trekked all the way out there to get a few bags - can't remember where though
