I know its been asked, but do you HAVE to do STD's?
My wedding is the weekend before the long July 4th Weekend.... Most of my parents friends know, bc my mom told EVERYONE, and a lot of our friends know too...do you think I need to send them out?

Absolutely NOT! It is something to do if: -you have a lot of people coming from OOT -they are unaware -you have chosen a holiday weekend where people have made other plans. From what it sounds like, since so much of your family knows, and is coming already, on a non-holiday weekend, they are ABSOLUTELY UNNECESSARY!

Thanks Deb, It's just another thing now to spend time on, and I just don't think its necessary, most of the weddings I have been to, I have not received STD's for at all..These boards are the first I've seen such a majority of ppl using them

I am thinking of not doing them because I only have very few people coming OOT (and they know already not to make any plans for the labor day weekend)... come to think of it everyone knows anyways, so I dont think there is a need to do them at all, I can use that money elsewhere...

You definitely don't have to do them. I think it is a nice touch and mine were super cheap. 100 magnets for $21.99 and I included them in with the thank you from the e-party.

i am doing them for a few reasons. the first one is my fh family is from OT, we had a date change and i am not sure if his parents are going to do the right thing and let people know, so i am going send one to everyone just so i know i told them :)
