I know its late but

how many of you were charged for your and DH's plate. The night before our wedding the BM was like oh 'you guys owe me for your plate.' I was kind of of annoyed b/c they are already making $$$ for our event. I found that really shaddy. Did you girls expierence the same thing?

the bride and groom also have to pay for their dishes - you need to include you and FH/DH in the final headcount.

We got charged. They made sure to tell us that DH and I had to be counted in the head-count - I assume b/c we paid for us, too?

i guess we did, but I included us in the headcount i gave them and i was just a little bit under min so it didnt really matter. But that is messed up for them to come up to you and say you owe them lol

I never heard of anyone who didnt pay. You 2 are counted in the head count.

I think everyone pays for their own plate... I doubt they would give 2 free....

I was shocked bc the 1st reception did not charge and this one told us the night b4.

well they should've told you instead of waiting until the night before. I would've been annoyed if i was told only the night before too.

haha i remembered this like 2 nights before i went in with my final payment but yes you and DH need to be counted!

Super annoyed b/c we counted on having all the vendors paid and having funds left over for the tips and HM. I was going to get married in 07 but cancelled and Leonard's of Great Neck never mentioned to us that we were a part of the head count. They asked us...'how many guest.' and then they gave us the final estimate as per the amount of guest. Oh well doesn't matter. I was just curious...lol

we are being charged for the two of us also but I was kind of surprised. You would think with us spending so much $$ they would not count us. Oh well, I guess they are always looking for a way to get more money from you!!

i am top bride as well and i was shell shocked when i heard that we had to pay for ourselves as well.. but then i read numerous girls here also included them in the headcount..

we were charged full price for our plates. i didnt really expect otherwise, although it would have been nice to get a discount on our plates or have them be free.

we didnt really eat as much as our guests although they did give us our dinners as well as a platter with the other menu choices, and a platter of the viennesse desserts on our table, and a platter of CH food in the bridal suite.

We were told when we booked that me and FH get counted into the headcount...So i made sure to put us down in my excel spreadsheet or else i'd forget..lol

but that is wrong of them to wait til the last minute to tell you.. they should have let you know ahead of time!!!!

It worked out for us because we said about 5 less and 5 people cancelled at the last minute.
