i know its silly but im nervous for in laws visit...

They are getting in today and I know its silly but I get nervous. Its bc I dont know them terribly well. I met them both before briefly, then spent a bit of bonding time w/ FMIL when she visited for a bit, but I havent spent really any time at all w/ FFIL. (They live in Alaska if youre wondering why we don't see eachother much.) Anyhow, theyre driving in today after their other travels and they'll be here for a week, but im nervous bc FH has work every day til 4:30 or so and it will just be me and FILs all day every day. I guess Im being a wuss, but I don't like hosting on my own. Theres a bunch of other reasons Im stressing but not really worth getting into. Alright, enough babbling...gotta go get ready for their arrival!

It's not silly at all! I'm always nervous when my FMIL visits and I've known her for more then a year now! Good luck! I'm sure it will go very well

It's not silly at all!!! I live around the corner from my FIL's and I still get nervous around them and thats after 4 years of seeing them constantly!
I always worry is my house clean enough? Does the food taste good?(I'm still learning to cook) Do they like me?

I thinks its normal. Don't stress you'll be fine!

...So I guess its not SO silly, considering we're all still in the 'gettiing to know you phase.' I guess thats the weird part...I feel like where FH and I are in our relationship doesn't match how well I know his fam. His dad makes me nervous, like he's going to judge me or something. And I just worry about always having to entertain, tho FH says they don't need entertaining. Hope all goes well. My tummy started to rumble w/ nerves a few mins ago. Im glad theyre getting in just a few before FH comes home and didnt get here in the morning! Don't get me wrong, I love his fam but still..its a lil akward not knowing them very well.
