I feel bubbles in my belly, no its not gas. BTDT moms I feel the bubbles of the baby moving. Or maybe my mind is playing tricks on me?

I felt the same thing before I had gotten a positive pregnancy test back. My sister has felt it with both of her pregnancies! We have no idea what it is. I'm glad we're not the only ones now!

I read somewhere that with a 2nd child you can feel the baby earlier because you already know what it feels like so you are more aware. So maybe you did

Re: I know its VERY early but...
I hate to be a nay sayer (and Im not trying to squelch your joy Karen) but...at 5 weeks the baby is the size of a grain of rice so I dont think it's the baby you're feeling. But it could be something besides gas. The uterus is starting to do its thing too.
Some people do feel it earlier with the 2nd (or 3rd, 4th etc) but I think 12-14 weeks would be the earliest that the baby would be big enough to feel.
Interestingly, I learned something new about babies and quickening this week. I had my 20 week U/S and I was talking with the u/s technician an she said that how early you feel movement depends on where implantation occurs. I have what she called an anterior placenta meaning implantation occured toawrds the front of my uterus. It makes it harder to initially feel movement. Which explains why although this is not my first pregnancy, I didnt feel the movement earlier. Now at 20 weeks, the baby is plenty active but I figured I'd feel it at 16 or even 15 weeks. And it can be different for each pregnancy with the same Mom.

I dont really think its the baby moving. I dont know what to think though. Its strange. Its the same movement feelings I initally felt with Emma.

Karen, have you been to the doctor yet? Maybe you're further along than 5 weeks?
