You guys have been so helpful! I got my veil at barrons today -- much better deal than the store in BK, and then I went to my florist and I got to see a sample centerpiece (Stefans, and it was gorgeous!), and chose colors for bo-K's.
I picked all white roses for mine, and a mix of white/pink/ivory/red roses for the BM's (in red dresses).
Do you think that's a good combo? My mom said she was shocked I didn't pick red for myself and sounded disappointed.
Can you please post pics of all white rose bo-K's to make me feel better?

The only thing about white roses is they arent a true white. Usually they are off white/slightly yellowed. If your dress is super white, it makes it look even more yellowed. But I will say on a lot of dresses it looks stunning.
I'm not a fan of white roses but my cousin did have all white roses in her boK and I thought it was gorgeous.
So dont worry about it, and do what makes YOU happy. It's your day afterall.

It's your day and you should have what you want in your bo-k....enjoy your white roses!!! I personally think they are gorgeous!!! Maybe you can ask your mom why she seems disappointed you are not getting the red ones? (Maybe they are her fave flower and she had a visual in her mind of you walking down with red ones???)

I was in a wedding and we all wore red dresses. the bride had all red roses and we had all white. That was pretty, but I prefer it when the bride has white or very pale flowers with accent colors to make it pop.
I think it is so classic and elegant.
Whatever makes you happy is what you should go for!

I think white roses are very classic looking-however, like someone else said white roses are never WHITE, they are usually off white or even yellow looking-if your dress is white white I would maybe try and find something to break that up, put some pink roses in or bottom your bok with leaves, moss etc. to break up that white from your dress

Thanks for all your advice! My mom was disappointed because she thinks white roses are 'boring' and 'feh' About them not being white-white, my dress is diamond white, I don't know if that makes a difference. I don't know much about flowers, and just wanted a traditional looking bouquet. Red is my favorite color, and I think my mom thinks the bm's bo-ks will be prettier than mine. Maybe I will throw in a drop of pale pink, or ask if he could put in mini-calla lillie -- the pic of that bo-K was beautiful. I'd love to see more pics for ideas. Thank you!!!!
