I'm really having a hard time figuring out what photographer to go with and I feel like the pressure is on. We are on a budget but I am willing to spend a little more on a good photographer. I've read that digital pictures fade-is this true?? Who are you using for photography and if you wouldn't mind FM'ing me the price you paid (and what you got) I really appreciate your help ladies.

Ihave no clue. But i have heard good things about Proline. You should check them out.

They only fade if they are not developed on archival paper. Just make sure to ask you photographer if they do that, but I am positive all of them do.

Not stupid at all! We are getting our proofs and all negatives - no prints or albums. We decided to do this after and he will work with us (as he does with all couples) and we'll get it at cost. I also know of a lot of great photo printers (professionals, not 1 hour places) where I can go for my enlargements and they are all under $10 (mark up is ridiculous in the photo biz). As for albums, we want to do the Soho book and I will be dealing directly with the company as well, it should be around $1k. For parent albums, we're doing digital albums from ofoto.com for under $30 each.
