but I am just curious. How long are you planning on waiting before trying to have a baby? My plan wait at least 5 years after the wedding before we try, is this common? I am starting to feel guilty. FH says that he wants to wait that long too, but he talks about babies all the time! So, I suspect he may want them sooner. I am feeling selfish about my choice, just wondering if I am alone on this one.

But no, it's normal...Why rush, you two have the next 70 years together... Every person is different.
we are waiting a few years...but we talk about it all the time...but that still doesn't mean that we want them anytime soon...

We discuss this a lot- all of our friends are having babies already! We are not ready- I am just finishing school and would like to get my career established first.

initially FH wanted to wait 3 years.... he is now down to wanting to TTC January-ish......
We are waiting a year 1/2 to 2 years. You definately have to do what is right for you. If I were younger I would definately wait (I always wanted to wait 5 years after being married) You could travel and get to really know each other and be financially set. Unfortunately my clock is ticking and I don't have that luxury

We are going to start right away, but waiting 5 years is normal.....my friend who was married 7 years ago always said she was going to wait 5 years before trying, she came home from her honeymoon pregnant, 4 and a half months after her son was born, she got pregnant with her daughter. A year and change later, son # 2 came along. She is now 5 months along with baby #4! So much for waiting

We're going to wait a couple of years. We live in an apartment in Queens and we would rather own a place outside of the city before we start. Besides, I'm not ready to be a mother yet!
