Personally, I don't believe in long engagements. If you've been going out long enough to know you want to get married...then JUST DO IT. Of course you'll need some adequate time to plan. I've known people who dated for many years. got engaged...then waited for the perfect time...I'm one of them...THERE IS NO PERFECT TIME. ...and sometimes the longer you wait...the harder it is to take the plunge...speaking from previous personal experience. Work smart...not hard...solicit advice and help...know what you want...figure out a plan and a budget and go from there.

I'm confused??? if you don't believe in long engagments then how come your not getting married until 2006???
