Go all the way into the litter box to pee! She is really old probably like 15! My parents had a really bad leak in the house so the cat can not stay there plus mom and dad went to Florida and I would have to goto their house everyday to feed her! So she is here but My DH isnt a fan of cats . She is peeing on the floor and im not sure how much longer my DH will put up with it! I saw her do it! She puts her two front paws in the litter box and leaves her back two out and she doesnt even squat she just stands on all 4's and goes! I dont know what to do! I think she is sick shes not eating and she hasn't pooped since she has been here ( Tues. Night) Anyone have and answers?
ETA: Talked to my mom and dad and she just started doing it at their house too right before the leak! So it's not just our house. My Friend suggested I buy baby food I did and she downed it!

Perhaps its because she is getting old and can't pick her legs up over the box? Does she have a problem jumping up onto things as well?

Maybe you can try and change the litter box to one with a lower opening. They make doggie litter boxes where the cat wouldn't have to pick up her legs too high if they are bothering her. I think you should take her to the vet b/c if it is a kidney problem you don't want to mess around and wait.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Don't worry too much about the pooping yet, cats don't take change well. When we moved both times it took a couple of days before Xena moved her bowels.
As for the peeing thing, is it a male cat?

It is a female cat. So Its not like 'marking the teritory thing' We see that some time when she walks har back legs go out from underneath her but she jumps on the window, couch, bed etc. I bought one of those disposable cat boxes since we couldn't go back into the house to get anything after the leak. The disbosable liter box is very low. Its like a tray.

No I wasn't thinking marking. My Mom's cat is a male and was having blockages. The poor cat would try to make it to the little box and it couldn't it was uncontrolable. She was told to remove fish from his diet and he has been better ever since.
If you are seeing her legs go out from under her definitely get a low litter box for her and maybe when your parents get back they should take her to the vet.

Awww....
Ya I feel so bad for her. Shes not eating anymore even at home. She is so skinny that you can actually see her ribs. She ate the baby food last night but didnt eat it today. Im at a loss. The last time they took her to the vet they said they didnt see anything wrong with her. I mean I know she is old. We have had her for like 14 or 15 years and she was a stray so we dont know how old she really is.

Not to scare you, but those are signs of diabetes which is common in older cats. My cat developed transient (temporary) diabetes (he is only a year old) and he lost weight, got thin, drank a lot of water, and peed outside of the litter box. I'd bring the kitty to the vet. Good luck!

WOW really That sounds just like what her symptoms are. She is NOT eating SHe is Drinking TONS of water and still cant make it in to the liter box. My DH is telling me to bring her to the vet but at the same time my parents are are in Florida and I don't want them to tell me they have to put her down if they arent home! I so don't know what to do. I dont want her to suffer and die of starvation.
Just wanted to add that she has been sleeping in the bath tub all day?

Oh no, does she like tub water? That can be another sign. My Luke used to (still does not, just not as much) sit in the tub and waits for me to turn the water on and he just sat and drank and drank and drank. I thought it was just a cute habit he developed and didn't realize what was going on. Also, since she is not with your parents, in a new environment, that might also make her sugar level go up. Stress makes their level go up, so when you go to the vet don't be shocked if that is what it is. Luke's sugar level was 500! I couldn't believe it. Normal is 90 to 120 or something like that, just like humans. IF it is diabetes I don't think they would put the cat to sleep, you would just have to give her insulin (not easy, but helps them feel better) and bring down her sugar level. FM if you have any other questions. It is not something too bad for a cat to have, inconvinient, but if you love them, you'll do it. You should definitely bring her to the vet, I didn't realize how lethargic and unhappy he was until he started to get better. Good luck!

Not to scare you either, byt my cat candy started to pee strangely when she started to have kidney problems. She also started to drink more water, became very thin, it became so bad I had to hand feed her. Definately bring her to the vet.
