i know this is silly but...

so ever since i had my bridal ashower last saturday...i have cried at least once every day...im so happy and excited to get married and move into my beautiful new house, but sometimes i just think 'i dont wanna leave my mommy and daddy '...

anyway that got me thinking...i am going to be a total wreck on the wedding day....did anybody think the same thing and then surprised themselves and held it together?? is there hope for me and my makeup lol?

i definitely thought i was going to cry ... i would tear up just watching sappy commercials! ... and when i practiced reading my vows, i would ALWAYS cry like crazy ....

surprisingly, on the actual wedding day, i was fine - no tears at all!

i think it's just so surreal at that point ... regardless, i had my makeup person use waterproof makeup lol

You are definitely not alone. My parents go away for the summer, so I've been living with FH in the apartment we bought and I just miss my house, bed and parents. I have a great relationship with them, and my mom has been the love of my life for 27 years, it's hard to get over that!

I was just thinking about this yesterday! I love my house, my parents, my dogs, my neighborhood.... if only we could buy a house down the block.. But yeah, it's a big tear-jerker. I had to ignore the monologue in Father of the Bride where Steve Martin's character ponders his daughter not being at the breakfast table in her PJs any more for fear of losing it. lol

EXACTLY this! I would get so emotional over every little sweet thing or wedding related item. I cried reading our ceremony layout and just thinking about the day. The day of, I was on edge but never cried until my dad and DH had their hand shaking to hand me off to DH. I teared up a little bit but nothing major and no tears fell. Then I teared up again when I saw my cousin who was in the hospital a couple days before and was told not to come to the wedding and she was there anyway. I thought I would cry during my first dance or my dance with my dad but nope, nothing.

Waterproof makeup DEF, but you get so into the day and the emotion and the fun and love, that you might not lose it like you think.
