I know this prob has been done-- but who do we REALLY need to tip??
This tipping thing is making me crazy and it makes no sense to me.If I am paying a vendor for services rendered.. why do I need to give them more money..
Who do we absolutely need to tip?? And how is it done, through a thank you note and a tip? I see a lot of vendors have thank you notes from brides, etc.
I need to mentally, and financially, prepare for this nonsense.

You don't really HAVE to tip anyone...tipping is something that should be done only if you feel satisfied with the services provided. I hate how we feel bullied into tipping people for the wedding. ESPECIALLY when you know they own the business and have very little overhead. On the other hand, some catering halls do have it in their contracts that you must tip a certain amount, but those are very few that I've ever heard of. I know this didn't help you at all, but this is how I see it and this is how I will approach it. I am thinking of tipping my vendors AFTER I get back from the honeymoon, and I have no problem telling them that.

These are the people I feel you should tip. It's up to you how much.Maitre'd- anything between $2-4 per guest
Bridal attendent- I would say anywhere from $50-150 based on what she does
Photo/video- if they're not owners, I would tip between $50-100 to each
People you don't 'need' to tip, but if you think they did a great job...
limo drivers- an extra $20-50 each
florist delivery- $10-25 each
DJ/MC- I didn't have one, but I guess $50-100 would be appropriate
band members- $25-50 each
