I know we have spoken about this LOTS before

I am second guessing my dress. I know this is a terrible timing considering my dress is due in the next 3 months. I didnt try on a dress with the pick ups on the bottom. I see all of these beautiful brides with these adorable pick ups. I want to go and look at a few dresses and see what they look like on.. I am so afraid that I will try them on and be in love.. What would I do with my current order?!?!?

well you may be able to switch it...can i tell you one thing about pickups...i thought i would like them, but when i tried a dress with them on, i looked like a marshmellow puff. it was horrible!!!!! so maybe when you try it on you wont like it, then you will know why you bought your real dress

I spoke with the woman that I ordered my dress with - and she was in shock she said my dress is so gorgeous - she told me to find a store that has it in stock on the island and try it on again before we do anything crazy - but there is only one store on the island that has the sample and I cant go there

Hey!! I'm sure your dress is beautiful!! My advice would be, definitely try on dresses with them. If you love it, you've got two options... you can either pay a seamstress to add pickups to your dress or you could buy a second dress at a really reasonable store with the pickups and wear one to the ceremony and one to the reception!! I dont know about you, but I'm short and I looked like a cupcake... or a girl going to her first holy communion

I just wish there was a way I could get into that bridal salon (I even just called RK and they dont carry it! ) and throw it on - snap a few pictures and run

i had second thoughts on my dress too but when i tried it on again i fell in love all over again and knew i made the right decision ... its hard with all those beautiful dresses out there to make a final decision however my thoughts on a dress with pick-ups ( and NO offense to ladies with dresses with pick-ups) however I feel that in 10 years when you look at your pics your going to feel the same way we do when we look at those big lacy puffy sleeves from the 80's.... i'm sure your dress that you picked is beautiful!!

LOL my dress has pickups!!! PLEASE don't compare the 80's puffy sleeves to them!!

Here's your options: You could try to change the dress order, however be prepared to pay hefty 'rush' fees and possibly lose your deposit.
OR you could buy a sample gown from the store (so you get the dress cheaper anyway) and don't have to worry about rush ordering anyway.
I think its normal to second guess your dress decision, but think about how you felt when you had it on!!

I felt like this when I saw another dress. I went to David's Bridal to try on the style I saw just to get it out of my system. After I did, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Maybe try on a dress with pick ups at David's and see what happens...

HTH!

I think you will love your dress once you try it on again. I saw my dress at one place but I was not sure about it. Then I saw it again at a different place and I bought it. In the back of my mind I wondered if it was the right one, or if I was just sick of looking. But when I look back at the pictures I LLOOOOVE it. I think you need to stop looking at other dresses. And remember the reason you picked your dress. Don't worry you will be a beautiful bride.

Pick-up dresses are not for everyone. The way you look in one pick-up verses another will vary dramatically depending on the fabric. And they don't look like anything from the 80's. ( yes I have a pick up dress)
