I learned something I never knew tonight

FH and I were talking about family and FH told me that he asked my brother 'permission' to marry me because he couldn't ask my father. Dad had been very ill and was in and out of consciousness in the hospital for many months before he passed away in July. FH wanted to be as traditional as possible. I completely cried like a big baby when he told me. I knew they talked but I didnt know he actually asked. Now it feels even more right that I asked my brother to help mom walk me down the aisle. I have such a good man!

I'm an emotional mess today - this put me over the top! That is soo sweet! My fiancee asked my dad and I thought that it was wonderful. You have a great man!

Would you believe he had the nerve to ask me to get up at 10 am on a Saturday to take him to a subway station in Queens so HE could sleep longer before his game? NOT GONNA HAPPEN! I didnt even have to utter an answer. All I had to do was LOOK at him with a piercing stare and he knew better. We live walking distance from the LIRR. Football is the root of all that is evil.

Im only in New Hyde Park but we'd have to go to Forest Hills. When you get up at 5:30 am every day, you do NOT want to get out of bed for any reason on Saturday unless you absolutely HAVE to. I dont HAVE to do anything for football.

Oh, okay! I was thinking you had to drive him to a subway in Queens. Yay, I do NOT like to get up early on the weekends but I'm visiting my sister in PA this weekend so I need to rise and shine way too early tomorrow.
