I LIED..SECOND WEDDING PROBLEM!!!!!!

Ok sooo booked my honeymoon about a month or 2 ago and all of a sudden my mom gives me a message that my TA needs to talk to me about our flight.. we r going to DR on American airlines..just paid the flight on our credit card and I text my TA to ask her what's up and she days American just changed our flight to a connection flight and she MIGHT b able to cancel it and book with jet blue but it will cost us at least another $150..if she can even do it at all...I'm flipping because FH and I chose DR because its a short flight and for many other reasons but now Idk how long this friggin flight will be...do u think my TA messed up? Or American airlines really can just change flights on ppl like this??????!!!!!!!! I'm furious!!!!!!!

unfortunately, airlines change flights. aa should let you cancel it if you need to, since they changed it. i'd say that if you ta can't get them to cancel it with no fee then she isn't too good at her job.

i don't know how long the dr flight is, but did you consider aruba? it's a short-ish flight (5-6 hrs) and there are definitely direct flights.

Since they changed it, you should be able to cancel I think

AA is known to change flights happened to me in sept and one of my co-workers is going in aug and just found that they changed her flight too. Connecting flight is not bad just annoying you will prob go to miami or puerto rico first

UGHHHH that completely stinks!
I will tell you, I am a travel agent and I see schedule changes like this all the time! Usually when one of my clients have a sched change, I call the airline and get them on the next avail non-stop flight... usually my clients are flexible and not going on their honeymoon so its a diff scenario -

If they are willing to get you on Jetblue, go for it- but ask them what the additional $150 is for???
Is it the price difference between American and Jetblue?

A flights to DR is only 2 to 3 hour.
