I lost a stone on my e-ring setting!

I lost a stone on my e-ring setting!

I was driving to work this morning and had my hand on top of the steering wheel and I just happened to notice that one of my stones in my setting was missing!!!!

After I called FH, and informed him it was not an April Fool's I called the jeweler who can replace the stone inexpensively. I know it can be fixed but I still feel a little sad. On the bright side, it wasn't my solitaire.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Wow. I'm so sorry.
If you don't mind, is your setting platinum or gold?
I've heard of this happening with platinum rings..

Well, in all fairness I am a clutz..But it is white gold.
Yesterday, I dropped it on the ceramic tile floor and it bounced three or 4 times. I FREAKED.... It looked ok though when I picked it up, but this morning I was shocked to see the stone missing.

When I called the jeweler, she said take it off and put it in a safe place because the other stones can come loose as well. She is going to fix it tomorrow.

The same exact thing happened to me!!! I called the jeweler and he fixed it for free after all it shouldnt have fallen out to begin with. I hope they mean free when they say inexpensive.

Oh that stinks! Does your ring have a lifetime guarantee? I know mine does so if anything goes wrong...I can get it replaced for free.

Also was this a custom setting or a bead setting? My sisters was all of the above and she lost a stone too. Somehow we managed to find it!

Thanks ladies. It is a custom made setting, but I am not too worried, I am just really lucky it was a small stone! But I feel like a small bit of our history has been changed..

You are not alone! I have lost two in my band. I have a micro pave band with 92 tiny diamonds and I have lost 2. I was told that this happens with micro pave because it is so tiny, but they will replace mine for free, but it still makes me sad too!
