I lost my digital camera..can anyone recommend a new one?

My camera was just about a year old, it was a canon, I LOVED it..but I know things have upgraded in the past year alone and if I have to buy a new one..I may as well check out my options. Can anyone recommend a nice one. I only need 3.0 mp and I want the video option. I also want SMALL camera, teh smaller the better. Thanks in advance to whoever responds..!!

my friend recommended the Canon A70....DH is getting me the A80 for Easter....

I have a kodak that I just got for my b-day that has all you are looking for! I am not really into digital cameras but I really like it! I am sorry you lost you camera, that stinks!

We got the Canon SL-50 as a wedding gift and we love it. It's a 5 mega-pixel and has a zoom but is smaller than my friends two year old camera without a zoom. It takes great pics too, you can't even tell that they are digital.

Alicia, sorry to hear about your camera. I have a Nikon coolpix 4300 and I absolutely love it. It's not really small, but it really fits nicely in your hand, its 4 megapixels and about 300. I got it off buydig.com (after checking out the comparison sites).
