i lost my job, as you all know! =/

So as you all know from the post i had posted on 09 board, that i lost my job and got layed off from the nursery school i was working at for 6 years now.. If anyone has any info on any schools, nursery schools, etc that are hiring please let me know.. I really appreciate it! I am in seriously need of help with this and have been going crazy over this and having a hard time dealing with it. I am really trying to look for something now and am having a very hard time finding something. So i was wondering, maybe if i put a post out here too maybe someone knows of someone or somewhere that is hiring, a nursery school, daycare, school.. Thank you all so much for your help, during this hard time for me! =( being unemployed during a wedding planning is not fun and can be very depressing!

So sorry you are dealing with this. I am on the verge of losing mine since my company is closing, just waiting for the end date right now. Keep your head up - I know its super stressful planning a wedding with a job loss. I'm in the nonprofit industry so ill keep an eye out - FM me with your area of expertise/job title you might be looking for.

I am out of work too. I saw a few postings for nursery schools on craigslist believe it or not. Search under education jobs. Hope that helps.

Its tough in the pre-k, daycare world. I own my own daycare, and enrollment is way down because people are being laid off left and right.

Try looking into school districts that have pre-k programs. I know you are looking for a nursery school setting but you just might have more luck looking for a daycare setting. Try chain daycares like tutor time and things like that. There is more turn over in those places so they are looking to hire more often.

Are you certified to teach? All schools are always looking for substitute teachers, but you need certification.

I'm so sorry to hear that.
I don't know of anything right now but if I do (I am a teacher) I will be sure to let you know. What is your teaching certification in?

Thank you girls so much for your support., help and advice. During this hectic hard time, it isn't easy! I have been looking everywhere and it is just soo hard out there for a place that is actually hiring. At this point i am just looking for a nursery-pre-school, day care. I haven't really looked into an actual public school for the pre.k setting, but i guess i should right? I have looked on craigs list and all and i see nothing! =( If you girls come across anything or know of anything, let me know!
