I love getting stuff for free!

So after going back and forth between the Amex points and my frequent flier miles, I FINALLY booked the flights for the HM!

It was a total pain in the a$$ to book, but we ended up with 2 first class for Hawaii for $256!

. . .I shouldn't have used my Amex points twice for Crate & Barrel gift cards, especially after hearing yoru story. . .

Aren't points wonderful! We got 2 first class tickets to FL (we're going on a cruise) for $74 total. But we had to save those miles for YEARS and we basically had to charge all of our monthly expenses for the last 2 years to get enough points.

Re: I love getting stuff for free!

They make it a PITA to redeem them, but when it all works out, it's amazing! I throw everything on my Amex card and then pay it off every month, so it adds up very quickly.

Plus, I have a ton of FF miles from when I used to travel for work. It all worked out perfectly!

Delta actually had the lowest points needed. American was like 150,000 points, US air was 140,000. I used Delta for 75,000 per ticket!
