so I was doing some christmas shopping and DH and I bought a comforter with the rewards card we got from macys...after 50% off and an extra 20% for friends and family we spent about $250 on this comforter. we shopped around some more and then i told DH to go eat while I shopped for him. While he was waiting he put the comforter down and he walked away for a moment forgetting it was there...in a moments time he went back and it was gone! We asked the people in the store he was standing in front of...checked the food court, asked security and the lost and found...NOTHING! I was so upset I was ready to cry. we went to macys and asked the salesperson if anyone had returned or tried to return our merchandise for a store credit...she said they hadn't...but she told us to sit tight and we would not leave empty handed. unfortunately we had bought the only king size highest level warmth down comforter in stock...so instead we downgraded and got the next lower warmth and she refunded us the difference! I am sooooooooooooooooooooo happy right now that there are still nice people out there. I was so disappointed that someone would steal a comforter during holiday shopping...but she made me feel better.

OMG that stinks!!! I was shopping yesterday and I was so worried about that - I never walked more than 5 feet from my bags (i was trying on shoes, I kept having to go look at shoes - it was a pain to keep lugging them around). That's really great that they refunded you the difference.
