As you know, I've been out of work for sometime and have about $30 left to me, which is actually left over from what my parents lent me. I just got a job offer today, but am not starting until Aug. 1st, which means that I wouldn't get paid for awhile. My shower is next weekend (this is pretty obvious b/c it is in NY and I'm not), and I really want a new outfit. I am a clothes addict and have a hard time doing anything without a new outfit. I was trying to rationalize this to my FH (who is also very tight on money due to me not working and him having to pay rent and all the utility bills, as well as his own bills), and he interrupted me and said, 'You know what? This weekend I will take you and buy you a new outfit.' He knew how much this shallowness meant to me, hehehe. Awwwww. I'm still smiling.
