FH and I met with Pastor April on Sunday and let's just say I needed several paper towels to mop up the sobfest.
She just GOT what we wanted to say and put together a personalized ceremony for us on the spot.
She sent me the first draft last night and I got teary againnnn....
Anyone looking for an officiant, I highly recommend her.
She and my photographer are the two vendors thus far that I would recommend with no reservations.
anyway, I felt soooo accomplished after we left her house. Our ceremony is in good hands

Isnt she amazing! I was going through tissues like they were going out of style when we met with her! She is seriously AMAZING. She got FH to be so open it was seriously unbelievable. So happy you love her!

same here! FH was kind of stiff and quiet at first but by the end he really opened up.
We were there for an hour and a half and FH said it felt like couple's therapy
Seriously though, when she was talking about the ceremony and helping us with the logistics of it, setting up the visual, it finally felt real that we are getting marrieddddd!

Thats so awesome! I've heard really great things about her. Can I ask what it means to 'personalize' the ceremony? Does she add stories about you and FH to the usual required bits?

With her there is really no required bits. Even the traditional lines like 'with this ring, etc' she has several options where she says the same thing but in a new way.
She asks a lot of questions about what you love about each other, your relationship history, and incorporates them into the ceremony so it's unique to US, you know?
That's exactly what we wanted - not a ceremony where they can just interchange names and it wouldn't make a difference.

I know exactly what you mean!!!!! When we walked out the door FH was like 'so we ARE booking her , right? Her ceremonies are so amazing and personal, I am looking so forward to ours! It is not just another typical ceremony, I think our guests are going to love it also!
