I LOVE this cake, but . . .

I LOVE this cake, but I am not using orchids in my flowers at all.

Would it be weird to use this as my cake?

My color for the wedding is a cranberry color and my flowers are also fall colors.

oh that is the cake we asked our caterer to replicate. I am not using many orchids - just some in my bo-kay but I love the cake too. We have it with vanilla cake interspersed with chocolate chips and chocolate ganache mousse filling.
ETS: My bo-kay is at left.

I think it's gorgeous, go for it... You don't have to match all your flowers... as long as the colors are in the same family, it's ok.

I love it too! Where did you find it? I think it's fine to have the orchids even if there are different flowers in your bo-k. I might be having orchids in my hair but different flowers in my bo-k. Do you know if that's fondant or buttercream?

I think you can go with this cake if it makes you happy! But if it bothers you, can't you ask them if they could replace the orchids with whatever type of flowers you are using elsewhere at the wedding?

I definately could, but I think its the orchids that are so pretty and that's why I like it!! Maybe the centers of the orchids can be more cranberry to match.
