I'm going on an overnight trip with my school tomorrow. I have to be at school at 5:30am! Should be fun though - we're going to Newport, RI and then to Boston. I'm very tempted to go decked out in Yankee stuff but I'd hate to have our 6th graders spit on because of me!
Even though it's just an overnight trip and I'll be back by 7 on Friday night, I'll miss you girls!

Good luck! I went on a 5 day trip last week... it wasn't too bad. The bed in the hotel was much better than mine! I keep thinking about how much I wish I had that bed. When I was there, I kept wishing FH was there to snuggle.

I have to share the room with three, count them three, other people.... a pregnant teacher, a guidance counselor and my ap... meanwhile my friend, a man teacher, is in a room by himself. I told him if he hears a knock...

I went to a DECA competition with a student. I am not even remotely involved with DECA, but they were desperate to get a chaperon because no one wanted to lose out on two days of vacation - I, on the other hand, need to save every buck I can for the wedding/possible down payment on a house by next summer. It was weird because it was only one student - I felt like his baby sitter.

I was born and raised in Rhode Island! You can definitely wear the Yankee shirt there! Many Rhode Islanders are Yankee fans....the state is split 50/50. I live in NY now and I've always been a Yankee fan.....I wouldn't wear it in Boston though...they're not as nice as us Rhode Islanders!! Have fun!!
